When you create an account, we collect:

5. Apple HealthKit
HealthKit data is handled with the highest level of privacy protection in compliance with Apple's guidelines.
Sova requests permission to write Mindful Minutes to your Apple Health app to record your affirmation listening sessions as mindfulness activities.
HealthKit Data Protections
- HealthKit data is never used for advertising
- HealthKit data is never sold to third parties
- HealthKit data is never shared for marketing
- You can revoke access at any time in Settings
6. Audio Recordings
When you record custom affirmations:
- Audio files are stored locally on your device by default
- We only access the microphone when you choose to record
- We do not record audio in the background
- You can delete any recording at any time
7. Data Storage & Security
Where We Store Data
- Local device — App preferences, cached content, audio recordings
- Supabase cloud — Account info, mixes, favorites, sync data
- Apple HealthKit — Mindful minutes (stored by Apple)
Security Measures
- All data encrypted using TLS 1.3 in transit
- Passwords hashed using secure algorithms
- Database access restricted and monitored
